Purpose: The Cytoplasm is the gel-like substance inside the cell that holds together all of the organelles and connects them.

 

Location: Plant and Animal Cells

 

Importance: Without the Cytoplasm, the cell would not have any mass. It would not be able to tranpsort energy or perform the necessary functions for life.
